What is Chiropractic Adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is a process of using spinal manipulation to help improve the body’s natural function. It is performed by a trained provider called a chiropractor using proven techniques for increased wellness. This natural treatment is generally preferred by many people who want a drug-free way to improve range of motion, relieve pain, and generally feel their best.
What Are the Benefits of Chiropractic Adjustment?
There are multiple benefits to undergoing a chiropractic adjustment. As we’ve already mentioned, a chiropractic adjustment does not involve narcotics and is incredibly non-invasive. This means that most people are able to return to work or other activities immediately after treatment. It also works fairly quickly. In some cases, improvement is noticeable after only a few sessions. Chiropractic care is also proven and uses many of the same techniques that have worked for patients for decades, which is why most people who undergo the process keep returning even after they feel great as a way of maintaining a high level of wellness.
What to Expect During a Chiropractic Adjustment
If you’ve never had a chiropractic adjustment before, you might wonder what to expect during the appointment. Dr. Sharon and Dr. Brink will ask you a series of questions regarding your current health status to determine if you’re experiencing neck pain, back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, or other related conditions. From there, Dr. Sharon and Dr. Brink will evaluate your spine and posture to determine if any issues are present.
During the actual chiropractic adjustment process, you’ll lie on a padded table while Dr. Sharon and Dr. Brink use their hands and/or small adjustment tools to gently manipulate the spine to improve overall range of motion. This process is usually not painful, and many patients report feeling a pop or crackle in the spinal joints followed by relief.
Effective chiropractic adjustments require an accurate evaluation and prompt care using safe, effective chiropractic techniques provided by Dr. Sharon and Dr. Brink.
